Penrose Students create art installation for Bb on location Phoenix

On Thursday, February 4 eight Penrose Academy students had the opportunity to create an art installation for Bumble and bumbles Bb On Location Phoenix event.  Bb On Location Phoenix featured platform work from Bb stylists Bronwen Melvin, Nicholas Roach and Christiaan Van Bremen followed by a Bb networking event surrounded by art installations created by Bumble and bumble network salons.  The event was held in downtown Phoenix at Warehouse 215 at Bentley Projects.

Penrose Academy Students created their installation based on the idea of how a client comes into the salon and sits in the chair as a blank white canvas, much the way they do when entering cosmetology school.  They created a story about Penrose Academy, our students, and revolved the concept around some of the sayings we live by everyday…

“Get comfortable being uncomfortable.”
“Holding the ladder up for others to climb.”
“Be the best version of you.”
“The dream is free.  The hustle is sold separately.”

The students creation from concept to fruition was highly popular through the night, turning into an interactive Photo Booth for attendees.  We are proud of Marcella, Alexis, Tim, Amanda, Carmen, Cassidy, Courtney, and Taylor for all of the hard work that they put into creating this piece that will be remembered for years to come.
