Congratulations to Penrose Academy Cosmetology student Amanda F. who was the recipient of the Vidal Sassoon Beauty Changes Lives Basic Scholarship. Amanda is pursuing a career in the professional beauty industry after being diagnosed with alopecia at age 19. Amanda created a video submission to apply for the scholarship explaining why the professional beauty industry was so meaningful to her and why she decided to pursue a career in cosmetology. Beauty Changes Lives along with Modern Salon announced Amanda as a winner on November 2, 2016. The Vidal Sassoon Beauty Changes Lives Basic Scholarship provides the winners with half of their tuition paid, up to $10,000.
