On Tuesday, August 8 Penrose Academy welcomed Bumble and bumble Director of Education Mary Proctor Trane for Bb University’s business class, Styling Your Career. Through Penrose Academy’s partnership with Bumble and bumble our current students and alumni were able to attend this unique event helping them to focus in on their professional development.
Mary started with Bumble and bumble as a consultant in 2000 and joined the Education team full-time in 2006. In her life pre-Bumble, Mary was an actor which helped her develop her presentation and listening skills. Much of her job at Bumble and bumble is devoted to developing the company’s employees’ and clients’ speaking, communication, business and leadership skills.
During this customized class for Penrose Academy Mary spoke to both students and alumni about communicating with their clients while listening to them. Mary also led the class through multiple interactive workshops to enforce the skills she spoke of.
A current Zone 3 Cosmetology student walked away from the class saying,
“I have more confidence to communicate to my clients and know how I can build long lasting relationships with them moving forward! Thank you for this amazing opportunity!”
