By raising funds through “jean days” and our annual Cut, Wax & Zap Event Penrose Academy Students, Staff and Faculty were able to raise over $2,000 in donations for our charity of choice Phoenix Children’s Hospital this holiday season. This week we celebrated and showcased Phoenix Children’s Hospital by welcoming our adopt-a-family in one of the most special assemblies of the year at Penrose Academy. During the assembly Penrose Academy President Jill Kohler shared why Phoenix Children’s Hospital is our charity of choice, welcomed Santa Claus who handed out gifts and presents to our adopt-a-family, and presented Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation with a check in the amount of $1446.00. Jill Kohler expressed her gratitude of having 150 Staff, Faculty, and talented Students raise over $2000 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital and it being a direct reflection of their kindness and selflessness. Students and guests enjoyed a pancake breakfast prepared by Penrose Staff and Faculty, were able to take photos with Santa, and enjoy time with our adopt-a-family.
